The island province of Dinagat is one of the newest provinces in the Philippines.
It was carved out of Surigao Del Norte Province. Located in Caraga Region
in the northeastern part of Mindanao Island, it is accessible by sea tranportation through the domestic port of Dinagat town.
It has a lone congressional district and is composed of eight towns namely: Basilica, Cagdianao, Dinagat, Libjo, Loreto, San Jose, and Tubajon.

demonstration farms. Businessmen can also engaged in the production of high value commercial crops such as fruits and vegetables, coffee and cacao,
cut flowers and ornamental plants. The manufacture of processed foods, furniture, home decors, and other consumer products can also be viable.
